Peugeot 3008 1.6 HDi

Combine a hatchback, a compact people carrier and an off-roader. What do you get?
The rather quirky Peugeot 3008, which was introduced in 2009.
At first it seems a bit of an oddity, looking like an oversized 308, but it doesn’t take long to warm to this distinctive French character. It’s certainly striking with surely one of the largest grilles on the market. The boot is particularly interesting. At first glance the floor seems too high but you quickly realise it has a three position boot floor and a clever split tailgate, which effectively lowers it for you. Then the second row of seats fold flat. All of which means that this vehicle has immense load carrying capacity. That’s just as well because during the test we collect a dishwasher and it fits with little difficulty.
